Observational Drawings
In a group of 5, we are required to bring a type of fruit that is assigned by the tutors to the tutorial session. Meanwhile, we are required to produce 2 sets of observational drawings about the assigned fruit, which includes top view, side view, 2 sectional views, bottom view and an elevation view. Also, these drawings have to be produced only during the tutorial session.
Group Component
The purpose of this exercise is to enable students to understand that how can they develop and demonstrate their observation skills about form and shapes, as well as showing their understanding about the basic perspectives of an orthographic drawing.
Reflection
Since that this is the first experience of dissecting a passion fruit in a tutorial session, its kind of new and exciting. Although the passion was not look that good inside, we still managed to produce 2 sets of drawings with correct scales and perspectives in 2 hours time. All of us surely knew that we have put our effort as to complete a sketch, a proper drawing and render them is not an easy task, I'm glad that we managed to finish on time and to have this experience.
